I have an Ipod Mini given to me when a friend got a new one but its battery life is very short, I would like to replace the battery but don't know how successful this normally is or if its easy to do.
Help!

i don't think you will lose your songs. it's quite easy to change the battery though lots of replaceable ipod batteries come with tools to do it.

You wont lose songs. Even if you do you have them on your computer in the iTunes so the next time you plug in your iPod to your computer it will collect the songs if they are lost.

I'm not exactly sure but if you have a backlight on your ipod then if you hold down menu then the backlight will go off and the battery lasts 4x's longer! if you hold down menu again then it will go back on.
