I recall a rock in a cave that glows without being emitted to light. Does anyone know what kind of rock this is?

It was total darkness without any source of light or UV as you would recall.

No rock can glow with out some light source. Most glow when around UV rays-or black lights. Some can continue to glow a few seconds after removed from light.

Are you sure there wasn't some ultraviolet light being shined on it? Otherwise I suppose it's possible there could be phosphorus ore with some kind of weak radioactive source nearby.
