Yes lots of regrets. As a kid I wanted to become a doctor. I worked for 19 years as a software engineer and damaged both hands doing it. Now noone will hire me for any job in cumputer field. I went back and recently finished by second Masters Degree, this time in Social Work. Social Work jobs pay badly, and many places only hire people part time, and pay only for time spent with a client if the client bothers to show up. It is not unusual to work a 11 hour day and only get paid for 2 or 3 hours, that comes to 26 to 39 dollars for working an 11 hour day. Not even fast food joints pay 2 or 3 dollars per hour. If I was on welfare or social security disability I would get a lot more money.

I have wanted to be a writer ever since I learned how to write. Now I am a writer, though my publications are limited to technical manuals. I am currently working on two novels. I am extremely happy with my life, because not only am I pursuing my childhood dream, but I have so much more than that in my life, including a wonderful, supportive husband and two intelligent, caring children.

At first I wanted to be a ballet dancer, but when I realized I am as graceful as an ox I wanted to be a teacher. I pretended to be a teacher everyday with my lil' sister and friends. I am now a teacher for 5th and 6th grade and I couldn't find anymore joy in anything else. I think working with kids is the most rewarding and enjoyable part of my life.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a nurse, but I wasn't very good with science so I ended up teaching high school math. I wish I had pursued my interest in acting, at least through a community group. I just retired, so I might take acting or stand-up comedy classes.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a nurse, astronaut, archeologist, you name it. I grew out of all those, and ended up owning three different businesses. A restaurant, and two property management companies. It's nutty the way the world changes on you. College electives are really good at teaching you new stuff.

There is a lot I wanted to do and become and have accomplished a few things, however my desire to do several jobs has never changed. The only problem is there are not enough years in a lifetime. I am happy though.
