Why aren't George Bush and his cronies outraged about a coup? Should we invade Thiland? Tell them how to be a democracy, or is it a police state?

Thailand is another Nation like Iran that has a very strong history and culture which would not allow for long anyone to rule them. The fact that the military took over is a patriotic statement and a political correction.
I served in Thailand at Karat Air Base in 65-66. We did not fly the American Flag over our portion of the base because Thailand would not give up any of its territory to a foreign power. Thailand was and is extremely anti-communistic and still is because they are fiercely independent.
The fact is, Thailand is the descendant of the great and Historical Siam Empire. They have never been colonized.

The reason for the coup was to re-install the King as head of state.

It was not to strengthen Communism.

Oh, they are DISAPPOINTED. But I don't think it's our business to tell other countries what to do with their own internal affairs, since we are too busy meddling with the Middle East.

(No, it's not sliding back into Communism either.)

I don't know about that, but I am sure that it only helps the 'terrorists'!
