Hi,
It is quite common to get yellow snow in parts of Eastern China, Korea and across to Japan. This occurs because the dust carried in the dust storms that originate from the Gobi desert and the Taklamakan desert in central China is yellow in colour. The dust is known locally as Kosa. When this mixes with snow it looks like yellow snow as the dust is just as abundant as the quantity of snow.
Of course, most people will think of toilet humour when it comes to yellow snow but hey it really does exist.

Yellow snow is a natural phenomenon created by the application of urine to otherwise white snow. This is done mostly by male animals in an effort to mark their territory. It is also done by bipedal male animals simply because they can.
