Pumpkin coffee, the atmosphere, kids on Halloween night, the decorations.

I love getting scared so haunted houses. But i truly love the religous celebrations of Samhain. It's the Pagan holiday that Halloween was founded from. It's the Witches New Year so it's great to party all night and think about the next turning of the Wheel. It's the last of Three Harvest Festiables so there is a lot of great food. It's when the veil between the worlds are the thinnest and i honor my loved ones that have passed. And i love watching my Nephews having fun and taking the to cider mills (that another big plus about this time of the year Fresh cider and donuts) and my nephews are so cute in there little costums (Two are 4 years old and then the youngest is 22 months)
Not to mention all the candy thats left over from the trick or treaters.

I love to start decorating around the end of September. This year I am putting a graveyard scene outside and alot of cool halloween stuff inside. I like the halloween shows that come on television every year, too. I set the TiVo wish list with the word "Halloween" and see what all it picks up and I record the good ones for us to watch. Two of our favorites are "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and "Billy and Mandy's Jacked Up Halloween." Also, I love the fun of helping my kids pick out costumes and then helping them get dressed up Halloween night to go trick-or-treating. We go to my mom's neighborhood and walk around for the longest time getting candy and talking to other trick-or-treaters. On our way back to our house, we take the long route and look at all the cool halloween decorations other people have in their yards, etc. It's just a fun holiday for us!

I just like the spookiness. I go on a walk around my neighborhood every Halloween night. It's great, and the best part is, my birthday's just 4 days after Halloween!

My Favourite thing about Halloween, is being able to dress up as whatever you want and be as creative as you can. I love the fact of getting a good scare as well as giving one, and this is the occasion best for it. Halloween if full of childish fun and candy, who cannot resist it.

I love the "feeling" it gives me. I can't explain it, really. I like being afraid, I like being scared.
I love decorating the house, inside and out for halloween.
Last year my teenage daughter was afraid to go downstairs alone at night because it was SO creepy...if you want a couple photos, email me.

Watching my daughters getting excited about what they will go out as this year, going trick or treating with them and remembering how fun it was when I was a kid, and smelling autumn in the air.
