Tylenol is ok to take, but they say not to take Motrin. I would definitely check with your doctor first. But, if you want something quickly and the doctor can't see you for a couple days or something--go into a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what he would recommend--they know just as much as the doctors do about medications.

I think you are having morning sickness and the flu. Taking medication for the flu symptoms won't be safe for the baby. Try just drinking broth and eating soda crackers until you feel better and then slowly increase more foods as you can stand. Also you might try taking a warm shower and them wrap up in a nice warm blanket and take it easy. But if you are still getting sick to your stomach and if you run a temp, call your doctor and he'll be able to help you. I've had to children, one is 25 and one is 29. I've been though what you are going through and it will slowly go away. Just hang in there. Think of this as motherly advices. Take care and in 7 months you'll have a beautiful baby, and then the fun really happens.

Anytime you are in doubt of what to do, your doctor is your best source of information.
It sounds like you have the flu bug. Try having some saltine crackers and water beside your bed and munch the crackers slowly and take a few sips of water. wait a few minutes before getting up then get up slowly. getting up too fast can make you dizzy and when you are pregnant getting dizzy can often result in an upset tummy!
Never take over the counter remedies when you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Many assume that because you don't need a prescription that it is safe to take. That assumption has caused miscarriages, and some birth defects. Even taking aspirin while pregnant could be harmful. Never take anything before talking to your doctor first!

you need to go to dr. Your symptoms sound like more than morning sickness and at this early stage in your pregnancy you really need the advise and care of your Dr to make sure that nothing goes wrong with baby. If you can not get there now you need to at least call them.

You should drink lots of fluids, water and juices. This will help you not to get dehydrated and help flush the bugs out. Are you taking your prenatal vitamins? I saw a great book that is coming out this month called, The Complete Organic Pregnancy. I saw it here;

1) take water add some salt in it ,boil it & take the steam with deep breathing.
2) take water add some salt in it , heat the mixture up to 20 degree centigrate & then put it up to throat ( don't drink it), make a sound..gdddddd......then throw it out. repeat the same for 5 to 6 times.
you will definately feel relief & will not affect on you & your baby.

They do allow more meds while being pregnant than they used to back in the day but call your dr. He will be able to give you the knowledge and relief you need.

To help with your nausea, you can chew on crushed ice, or suck on peppermint candy. Peppermint is an antispasmodic that will help you decrease the stomach contractions that cause your nausea.

Make sure you hydrate yourself well with plenty of juice, fruits and water.
