Imagine this.....
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. It's raining
heavily when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people
waiting for a bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once drove you to Hospital and saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Who would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there
could only be a seat for just one passenger in your car?
Think before you continue reading...

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once used as part of a job
application.

Would you pick up the old lady because she is going to die, and thus save
her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your
life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back?

I would pick up the old lady, simply because it is the right thing to do. That being said, I am sure that someone who had saved my life would share those sentiments and would applaud that; and the "perfect mate" would not be perfect if she didn't share my heart to care for those in the most need.

I've heard this scenario before.

I'd choose the friend who once saved my life. I couldn't imagine not helping them out when they helped at one point.

Honestly, I think any of the 3 possible answers could be argued effectively. It's all about how you present your position. I'm sure the person wasn't hired based on WHO he picked, it was because of his argument and supporting informationt to back up his choice.
