I have an hp and it is a p.o.s. it is like a really old person that is falling apart one piece at a time. I am buying a new one and i dont know exactly what to get. my budget is 1700. i need a superfast processor as i am running autodesk, photoshop and 3d max, sometimes all at once. i would prefer something lighter because i have to walk like a mile to every class carrying and my shoulders already hurt from the monster i have. any suggestions would be helpful

Go to the HP website and buy direct from HP. You can also customize whatever you choose. However to save a few dollars, you might want to go to the Compaq website. They may be related companies and sell you the exactly same laptop, however Compaq's are always about 7 to 10% less than HP.

Check out your Sunday circulars from Best Buy ( http://www.bestbuy.com ) , Circuit City ( http://www.circuitcity.com ) , Office Depot ( http://www.officedepot.com ) and Comp USA ( http://www.compusa.com ). You are sure to find an awesome buy and get the right kind of warranty protection to cover any eventuality. If you don't get the Sunday paper you can always visit the sites themselves and look under the online versions of the circulars they put out on Sundays.
