Not sure of his name, the middlesboro chairman. Think it's something Gibson. He's done wonders for that club.

PS I aint a fan

It's not Kenwright, who, despite being a huge Everton fan, is really only in it for self promotion. He's hugley successful as an entrepreneur, but not as a football Chairman.

It's not Malcolm Glazer for obvious reasons.

It's not Roman Abramovich, whose millions have skewed, corrupted and harmed football irreprebally.

It's not Steve Gibson. For all the brilliant things he has done for Boro, he has made a couple of faux pas. One is to pay too much for either unproven (Maccarone) or past-it (Viduka, Ehiogu) players. And the other thing which blots his copy-book is the shameful maltreatment of one of England's most prominent, post-war football names: Bryan Robson.

It's not Phil Gartside. His club is deeply implicated in allegations of fraud, misappropriation and bungs. And his club has done very little to promote young, English talent.

The very best Premiership club Chairman is a man by the name of Richard Murray. You may not have heard of him, but that's because he in not a self-publicist. He has quietly built his team - Charlton Athletic - into a model of well-managed, prudent, community-spirited success. His teams are full of young English talent (Luke Young, Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose, Jerome Thomas, James Walker, Osei Sankofa) and the club promotes racial harmony in a difficult location. The achievement of taking over a small, badly run, financially strapped, under-achieving football club and turning them around completely is nothing short of brilliant.

I think there are a few. A good chairman is one who is not in the game for publicising himself and one who is simply not on a ego trip.He is one who leaves the picking of the team and tactics to the manager. He is one who gives the manager time and support if the team go through a bad patch. He is one who generates the money for new players without putting the future of the club in jeopardy. He is quite often a man you never hear of.

The best premiership club chairman is unfortunately a Russian mafia.

He proved "MONEY IS THE POWER" once more.

Bill Kenwright, Everton. He has been very patient in the rebuilding phase and backed David Moyes with moral support and financial support (helping find new board members).

Of course I freely admit that I'm biased as you can see from my name.

Roman Abramovich... Let's face it, we all knock him and we all say he is bad for football but there isn't one honest fan out there who wouldn't welcome him with open arms into their club...
