It's a little bit of both really. I'd say it's mostly a Halloween movie, but there's a LOT of Christmas related stuff in it too. Either way, it's a really good movie!

It's a Christmas movie. Halloween guy takes over Santa's job cuz he's bored with Halloween.
By the way, the oogie boogie man is really scary! A total classic and the music and lyrics and dialogue excellent.

It's supposed to be for Halloween but you can watch it at Christmas, also. It's on T.V very heavily during those two holidays.

its both. in the movie , the events took place after halloween.
it teaches you to concentrate on what you know best as well as the true meaning of christmas. yes i think that this movie rocks(i hv a dvd of this movie) and can be enjoyed at any time.

I believe it came out shortly before Christmas so I think it was a Christmas story, I saw it and thought it was okay
