Should I use the Windows uninstall feature or the Norton removal program from their website? Or both?

To be honest, it not going to make one bit of difference if you use Norton's uninstaller or Microsoft's add/remove.

Norton Security is one of the very worse antispyware/antivrus programs in the world.

Nine years ago an engineer installed Nortons on my laptop an it was pure junk. When I removed Norton, I found myself left with over 300 fragments of Symantec/Nortons glued to all of my files and hidden all over my systems. Actually took months to get all l the fragments and remove them.

Just two months ago I changed my platform from Windows 2000 Server to Windows XP Prof.

I told my engineer that I had my own security system used by the Government of China. www.filseclab.com -- An I have never had one antivirus or spyware in nine years.

He ofcourse did not listen an installed Nortons Security Suite. The moment I went onto the internet I was hit with Trojans that Norton did not catch nor was it able to even find in a scan.

Again I had the same situation when I removed Norton from my pc. Left with over 300 fragments. My Twister Anti-TrojanVirus, removed the trojans and spyware.

Examaple go to start=run= type in: C://program files, left click on browser, left click on program files an all your files in your system will open. You will see Symantec. Try and remove it. Will say, "program is being used by another program denial of removal". Even when you reboot your pc, you still will not be able to get the complete file out.

Go to start=search=search for files. Type in Symantec, and scan or type in Norton and scan and see if any of the files will allow you to remove them.

I have from www.rosecitysoftware.com -- Their Registry First Aid software. It is not a free program. The only safe program I know that will fix your registry as it is the only program that will find all of the hidden files so you can remove them and not have conflict. (You should be able to remove them during the evaluation period).

The security I use is also used by the Government of China. Never had one trojan, virus or spyware in nine years with this security system. Plus you only pay $29.99 one time fee for life which includes all new versions, updates of signature an excellent support service.

Good Luck

Now Jack, hold on here a minute.

Don't do it "Jack Bauer"...The program is for YOUR security.

Any way, go into the control panel your programs will be displayed...click on uninstall/ remove and it should be gone.

But think and reason first. You could always go on another secret mission and forget about this question! good luck

Why would you want to do this?
Go into Control Panels, select install/uninstall software and follow instructions.
