The water in the air is spread out. That is why you can not see it. When there is alot of water in the air you can see it, as in fog. Then the air is 100% saturated.

Hi. Because the air is not saturated. When it becomes saturated then it DOES get steamy looking. Fog and clouds are examples.

What makes you think it is not steamy in the air? In Florida, high humidity condenses all over everything every morning.

The air is not as saturated. The only time it is concentrated enough for you to see it is on a foggy morning.

it's not saturated. the saturated steam is easy to see, and when it gets really humid it's easy to see the water vapor
