Gynecologists so far are clueless and so are endocrinologists. Yet I am producing to much testosterone on certain days of cycle. A saliva test confirmed this, but they don't know what to do about it other than birth control pills which have not helped. Thank you..

I work for the President of the Board of Holistic Medicine. Her name is Dr. Wendy Warner. She is also a gynocologist. Our practice is called Medicine In Balance and we are located in Pennsylvania. We help women with these issues all the time. Bio Identical Hormone Replacement therapy is an option. It is done through a compounding pharmacy (not just any old pharmacy--we have done a lot of research and have only found one in the country that can get exact measurements) Usually this prescription can cost from 60.00 to 150.00 per month depending on your personal needs. Insurance doesn't cover it but it will give you your life back! We moniter your hormone levels constantly and adjust as needed. Visit our website for more info...MedicineInBalance.com

Other than seeing other gynecologists or endocrinologists (maybe someone associated with a more "sophisticated" hospital than the ones you've seen; for example, if you live in a small town and haven't seen people associated with a large hospital with a reputation for being on top of the latest of everything); and other than seeing if you could try a different dose or type of birth control pills, it would seem you may have to wait out this peri-menopausal phase and see if either Nature corrects things or else if your system changes enough so that some hormone therapy might work.
