Learning guitar and bass can be painful at first, but you'll eventually build up calluses and get the muscle strength ya need, learn your power cords and basic cords and you're on your way. I did fine at piano until I got to the point in my lessons where I had to use both hands--that was harder for me to coordinate than it was for guitar. I can do very basic (and slow) drumming, but again, too many things to coordinate for the average joe.
For me, the *easiest* to learn was the recorder. I can also play a mean triangle (anyone looking for an electric trianglist?) but as far as "mainstream music" goes, the guitar isn't all that hard either.

Bass guitar is the easiest rock instrument to play. Keyboards are also pretty easy and very logical.

Probably the bass guitar. It basically consists of notes and not chords, which can make it substantially easier to learn than guitar.
