Mavis Beacon teaches typing...
I learned it in school... nothing like a mean teacher walking around the room, making sure you arent looking at the keyboard.

dude you don't have to pay for software....just get some sort of a document, book, magazine and just type paragraphs out of it. Time yourself and check you accuracy.
