For the Playstation 2, Silent Hill is a lot more CREEPIER than the movie. (Even though I haven't seen the mobie.)
It's nothing like the movie--though they do the best to recreate the effects, it's nothing like the game itself.
You just can't get away from those "things" creeping up on you, or the darkness which permeates your consciousness as you guide your character through levels of tension, fear, and the unknown--while battling some of the strangest creatures and bosses this side of Resident Evil.
You DON'T want to play this game alone.

Some aspects of the movie resemble things from the game. I liked the movie well enough, however, I think you will have a better experience playing the game if you enjoyed the movie. The games are much creepier and will freak you out pretty good. Have fun!

The movie was a great representation of the game. The movie was a combination of the 4 games though. The 1st 1 had a guy as the lead...but 3 had the female character. Overall, it has elements of the movie in all games.

It's very similar. I think they did a good job of recreating the feel of the games. Just stay away from some of the later Silent Hill games. The first couple are the best.

i played the game for the ps1 and i thot it was awsome freaky but awsome anyway the game wasnt that much like the movie i dont rember like a floor falling thru in the game altho i didnt beat it not the point there wernt that much of the movie as in the game
