Because it is classified as an award to recognize Black people, yet it should be considered racial because there are no limits on the other awards. Imagine if there was a white artist awards? The NAACP would have a field day! Besides, Pop and Hip Hop are mostly Black or Hispanic the major ones right now at least. Doesn't make sense.

Here's the loophole:
Music was invented hundreds of thousands of years ago when a primitive man or neanderthal began tapping some bones together and thus invented music. As whites evolved later, this means the first version of music was invented by a black man, and so ALL music is Music Of Black Origin, so in theory the judges should consider all artists... or is the real agenda of the awards to be Musicians of black origin?

Because we live in a country which is so politically correct its frightening...we have illegal immigrants claiming dole, social security and being given council houses while bombing our capital city.......my grandfather fought for this country in the war and had to survive on a measley pension for years before he died penniless and then the goverment taxed him for owning his own house..........thats why we have a MOBO award and not a MOWO awards.

Because the state of play is such in this country that anyone other than white, British born, middle class people get preferential treatment in all aspects of life.
