Yessssss! Especially teens. Its like they get off on tinkering with their phones. Its like there publically little excessive form of self gratification. They think they are DEFINED by their phone.

Then, I, an adult, go to the phone store, and their all like what do you want your phone to do, and I'm like make and receive calls, and they say, we don't have a phone that does that but we do have one that plays MP3s, takes movies and pictures, has lots of flashing lights, comes in pretty pastel colors, and has a cigarette lighter attached. When is a phone company going to make phones for adults with a decent hard case that gets good reception and doesn't have gizmos I couldn't care less about and don't want to pay for.

Yes, I do. What I hate to see is two people walking together and each of them is talking on the cell phone. Or even worse ... a mother and child together and the mom is talking on the cell phone completely ignoring the little person next to her -- tell me, what kind of message does that send to the kid? Oh, that irks me!!

Thank you! Who can possibly have that much to say or something that earth shattering that they have to have it welded to their ear? And what parent in their right mind gives a young teen a cell phone. Give 'em 50 cents for a pay phone! And whose gonna clean up the land fill full of old cell phones? we're gonna have to send them into outer space. Make a planet out of them. Jeez, don't EVEN get me started! :o)

Yes. It seems to be every teenage girl's top priority that they're reachable every waking moment.

I think most everyone knows what I mean. You know, when they leave the away messages on the computer that read "In the other room. Call/Text the cell!!11!!1~!!11!11!!`"

This concludes my daily rant.

Yes especially when they are TRYING to drive. We were almost hit yesterday by an 18 wheeler who was not paying attention to his side of the road because he was on his cell phone.

It is just like the Internet. I am sure there are some who have to be on the Internet all the time. People just have the need to feel connected. They seem lost if they are not talking or chatting.

People and cell phones drive me nuts. People just need to take it easy and pay attention to their surroundings. It's possible to meet a lof of interesting people, if you just hang up the phone.

Yes and it drives me nuts! Especially those people with the earbuds or head sets. You can never tell if they're talking to you, are crazy and talking to themselves or are actually boring someone else senseless with their chatter.

PS - Nextel phones (squawk) need to die!!
