Listen, from reading your other questions, your political affiliation is quite clear. I don't hate the president at all. In fact, I voted for him. Twice. However, those who voice their approval AND/OR disagreement with him are doing nothing more than loving their country. Our republic is built on the idea that people are entitled to their opinions, particularly about their leaders. While you may be ready to have the president's babies, others aren't. Many people absolutely loathed Bill Clinton, whether it was for his policies or for his personal life and just as many probably hate President Bush for the same reasons.
The danger in your question is that we cannot, as a nation, start associating criticism of our leaders with disloyalty and sedition. If we do, we will have completely ruined the great republic built by the founding fathers, and will only pave the way for tyranny and oppresion. So I say, whomever may occupy any office, anywhere, should be subject to praise and criticism. Including our President, the principle executive in our government. That is what makes our country what it is: a great, free, nation.

"That we are to stand by the president, right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt
One reason I can't stand Bush is precisely because I *do* love my country. In my view, Bush's policies are destroying it. I'm not some crazy liberal either - I've preferred republicans over democrats in every presidential election up until 2004. I held high hopes for the republicans back in 1994, when they took over congress and did a bunch of good stuff.
Unfortunately, Bush and the religious right have destroyed everything I liked about the republican party. There's simply no place left in it for someone like me - a secular, small-government, "humble foreign policy" type.

When the British sailed up the Hudson to take over New Amsterdam, the British marveled that the had so little opposition. Turn out that the Dutch farmers were renters, and the land was owned by landlords in the Netherlands. They did not feel inclined to sacrifice themselves for the landlords. Seems to me that maybe that is what is going on now, there is no investment in the country because it is owned by the few who are controlling the many.

Destroyed and Bush go together! This hopelessness that Bush has sold is creepy. We live in a Country that can be the leader of the World, but we are headed straight to the bottom with this lame excuse for a man not to mention ill advised, unprepared and dark visionless current leader of the free world.
I don't hate George Bush, I hate George Bush as a Leader. He is the one that sidelined Collen Powell and used him to front for his war of the stupids, piece of cake, dancing in the streets, it will be over any day now, my mother said so, and excuse for a leader.

If you think that all it will take is legalized gay marriage and continued legal abortions to destroy the country, then I think you are the one who doesn't love your country. Give us some credit, man; you don't place a lot of faith in people, do you?
And besides, Bush only has two more years; if he's gonna succeed, he better hurry up!

I don't hate Bush. I do believe he is out for the rich and does not care about the middle class or poor. The things that you list are not any thing that he can do single handed. He can campaign for them and try to get people to vote his way. The war he started is something that he started by lying to the American people and is going to leave to others to clean up.

excuse me? who the hell are you to tell someone whether or not they are allowed to get married?! over half the marriages in this country end in divorce, you know that right? and they are straight couples. and you have no right to come up to me and tell me i have to have a baby! it doesn't matter what you think about it, it is my right as a human being to make my own decisions and i sure as hell don't want some immoral hillbilly who is driving our country into ruins telling ME what is right and wrong. start with yourself before passing judgement onto others!mind your own buisness and stop trying to tell everyone else how to live their lives. once you do that, perhaps you might grow some brains and see this administration for what it really is. but i doubt you will ever think for yourself. good luck to ya
