This can be any value depending on M,N = 6,5 or 12,10 but I can put in terms of N
M/N = 6/5
M= 6N/5
3M+2N= 3*6N/5+2N = 28N/5
based on value of N this has a value
for example if N= 5 value = 28

M=(6/5)*N
3M+2N=3(6/5)*N+2N
=(18/5)*N+2N
=(18N+10N)/5
=28N/5
if N=5
3M+2N=28
if N=10
3M+2N=56

M/N=6/5
so 5M=6N
if M=6 N=5
3M+2N=18+10=28
it can be multiples of 28 like 56,84 or in general=28N where N is any natural number

Acutally, if M/N= 6/5, it is not necessary that M=6 and N=5
because it is purely a ratio.
For example M can be 36 and N 30 or M/N=6/5.
So, the conditions you have stated really have infinite no of solutions.
To determine the exact value, we need another condition (i.e. another equation)
Sad to know that a Math teacher(or so claimed) couldn't get that one

We need one more equation since there are two variables. It is impossible to solve for M&N with the given data. We can only determine either in terms of MorN
M/N=6/5
M=6N/5
3M+2N=3*6N/5+2N
=18N/5+2N
=28N/5 and so on

M and N can be many numbers but M is the multiple of 6 (6x) and N is the Multiple of 5(5x) so
3M+2N=3*6x+2*5x=18x+10x=28x and x can be every number of Z

Oh, it is sad that the math teacher got the answer wrong. There are an infinite number of answers. You need more information in order to narrow it down to one.
If you don't believe the math teacher was wrong, substitute M = 12 and N = 10 in the first equation. It works just as well as 6 and 5.

M/N=6/5
5M=6N
5M/3=2N
so, 3M+2N=3M + 5M/3
=14M/3
(or putting value of M from first equation in second equation)
