Peroxide should do the trick. Just don't leave it on too long.

Blood is a protein based stain.
Wash in cold water. Hot water will denature the protein in blood and set the stain.
Do not use bleach. Bleach will oxidize the protein, cause it to cross-link between the fibers of the cloth, and set the stain.
Use a laundry detergent containing enzymes, specifically one that uses proteases. Liquid Tide with Bleach Alternative contains more protease than most detergents and was top rated by Consumer Reports for removing protein-based stains such as blood.

You need to run it through very cold water when it is first soiled. Then, use a detergent right on the spot and hand scrub it until it's gone rinsing with cold water. When, there's only a light stain left. Repeat if necessary. Then spot treat the stain overnight with spot treatment. Then, wash in cold water.
If it's left for days without rinsing or treating, it's hard. Sorry, van't help you there.

Use detergent containing biological enzymes, or for a more traditional approach, rinse fresh blood stains in cold running water and rub with soap. Also you could try spraying an alcohol-containing eau de toilet.
All the luck in getting the washing up done.

EXIT SOAP works wonders on blood I have used it heaps and and found it to be very effective. Some firends of mine have a female dog that often leaves blood around their house as they do not often find the stain for a couple of days / weeks it can be difficult to remove, they do however swear by EXIT soap and have never found a stain to difficult.

Rinse with cold water as soon as possible, and dawn dish soap works, but make sure that you don't dry the linens before stain is out. If you dry them, it sets stain in. Maybe vinegar would work too, my mother in law swears by it and she had 5 kids, all boys!!

The best method I have used would be a good steak marinade, the marinade is made to break down proteins to make the steak softer, therefor it will dissolve the blood proteins from your clothes pretty easily...rinse well with HOT water and voila!
