get some hot water bottles!! You only use power when boiling the kettle, and once boiled, the water bottle last for quite a while...
u may also wana put some towels under your front door (or any doors leading outside actually) as this stops (or at least reduces) the amount of cold outside air coming into your home!
Another good way of keeping warm is....yup, u guessed it....snuggling up to someone (or making love)
Have fun and keep warm!!

If you have an accessible attic space then you should add a second layer of insulation. I added a 12 inch layer of fiberglass bats, and it lowered my cieling temperature in the summer by 5 degrees. The reverse would be true for cold weather.

They say a one degree reduction on your thermostat should cut your fuel bill by 10%.
Make sure your heating is well maintained.
If you are not using it, switch it off.
Don't leave TV, video or dvd on standby - pull the cord out of the wall.
Use power-saving light bulbs - more expensive, but they last forever and use less power.
Visit friends and relatives often - use their heating - not yours.:-)
Wear warmer clothes indoors.
