What a horrible thing to say. Do you drive a car? Are you not risking your life and the life of your passengers every time you drive? Quite simply, yes you are. Would you want people to think less of you because you drive a car? I would imagine not.

There are degrees of risk and it is up to the individual to assess how much danger they want to put themselves in. This should not affect the way that people feel about them emotionally.

Personally I have more affection for risk takers such as Hammond and Irwin than people like you...because they are making the most of their lives rather than sitting in suburban boxes and griping about their nine to five jobs.

Make the most of life you only have one chance at it.

I think no, risk takers like Irwin and Hammond are the sort of people that got the human civilization to the advanced stage it is today. If it wasnt for Irwin we'd all be a little less aware of the decline of our environment. If it wasnt for people like Hammond trying to go faster and faster we'd still be going to work via horse and cart, model t ford at the most.

They know the risks involved in their business, and if they are happy with it then no problem. Neither I or anyone are anybody to stop people living their lives the way they want to. As long as they don't harm anybody else, they can do what they like. I really admired Steve Irwin, and frankly was surprised that he died by a relatively safe animal (Considering Sting Rays only attack when in danger) rather than a crocodile. But at the end of the day he lived his life the way he wanted, and had tremendous fun doing it. WHo are we to stop him from living his life this way?

Without them, life would be so boring. Sure they influence some of the younger kids.. but as long as they are enjoying life, there is nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Rest In Peace; Steve Irwin. My hero in so many ways.

The risks that these presenters take are their own choice. I don't think they are coerced into filming highly dangerous stunts. If they thought something was too dangerous, or they didn't want to do it, then no amount of money would make them.

We should appreciate people that will go to extreme lengths essentially for our benefit. I'm glad some people have got the guts to push the boundaries a lilttle.

I agree that they are adults and can take whatever risks they wish to. My opinion is this people who live these types of lives where they have access and funding to do such extreme activities are lucky to escape death/injury as long as they do, if you live the highlife you are statistically more likely to meet your end at some point.

why should I be concerned about risk takers they are {were} old enough to make up their own minds althoug I do feel dreadfully sorry for their families. I'm a terrible worrier especially about my family so I reckon I have enough to be concerned about without the risk takers.

Frankly, I have better things to be concerned about. Such as what I am having for lunch.

Wow, if this is what your only concerned about... well you need some help.

No, I mean it was there Jobs. Steve Irwin just boxed the sting ray by accident and it cost him his life.

No, we should not. They did not endanger any one else and in Steve Irvine's case any other living creature. We should be really concerned with so called "sportspeople" who deliberately in the course of participating in their chosen game or sport injure their opponents.
