When African Slaves were brought here along with their agony they brought their spiritual music. Throughout years of horrors in bondage released an outpouring of Human Spirit, these people cried with tears and voice to their GOD in Heaven. He heard their suffering and gave them Gospel Music.
Modern American Music had been born. Decades enduring pains and troubles of being black they found a way to escape; which was though their music. This evolved to include: Blues, Jazz, Rock, R+B, Soul... the list goes on and on. Other countries wondered how could such a down-trodden race of people invent such a brilliant form of Art.
The music you listen to today has its ORIGINS IN BLACK MUSIC.
Cannot you show some appreciation for the contribution these people made to one of your favorite forms of entertainment.

the reason being that black people have a tendency to hearken to categories of track than what's heard completely on multiethnic radio stations. as a result, black track genres won't be properly represented in Award ceremonies such by way of fact the Brits/Grammys etc. yet white people who play and sing this track are given awards and are welcome on the MOBOs. that is no longer an unique social gathering for individuals of purely one race. you have gotten an awards ceremony for classical track too, which isn't of black beginning, that's of white beginning. would that be racist? think of of it this type. you have gotten an award ceremony for eating places and chefs of all genres, and you have gotten one for Indian eating places and chefs on my own. Is that racist? i do no longer think of so. that is purely specializing in one form of an paintings somewhat of many.

I think that there is enough recognition for black music.... but you always get someone from the minorities who has a whinge about something.....give us a MOWO award i say.

Dude you can't even turn on MTV without seeing rap so pretty much people need to relize rock is out there to and they need to stop making a zillion catagorys for rap and give rock music a chance! Rap sucks anyway, its all the same at least you can relate to rock! so pretty much i see its pointless to have BET and they have MTV so i think there should be an all rock station!! screw rap they talk about the same stuff, killing people having sex and girls so its pointless
