Thank God we're living in America & thanks to the Founding Fathers of this great nation who ingeniously created the Constitution of the United States. They agreed to the structure of a government designed to preserve American liberty & stability. This government consisted of 3 seperate branches which exercised checks on each other's power. As a result, such a coup-d'état as that in Thailand cannot & will not happen.
President Bush is democratically elected by a majority of Americans, & he'll serve out his term.
Sorry to disappoint you & other Bush haters; but, you're on your own.

South Vietnam had had many coup-d'états in its short democracy. Though the Vietnamese presidents were freely & democratically elected by a majority the people, many military Generals of S. Vietnam took turns overthrowing them every chance they had. These coups put the country in such chaotic, unstable & destructive situations, leading to the eventual takeover by the communist North Vietnamese.
No Americans wish for such a scenario that any anti-freedom, anti-democracy, anti- Americans regimes around the world would love to take advantage of.

*6 years have gone by & you're still bittered about the Supreme Court's decision ? Believe me, If the decision had been that in favor of Al Gore, I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it 6 years later. In fact, I & most of my fellow conservatives would've rallied behind Al Gore as our President regardless.
Have you already forgotten that president Bush was re-elected for the 2nd term by a majority of Americans ? That should put an end to any doubts that the election was somehow "stolen".
No right-wing conspiracy there !
Stop being so bittered. Get over it !

its alright to think you have a bad prez and want him out. thing about coups are that they are by a few people claiming to act on everyone's behalf. Thailand has had over 70 coups. Thats no recipe for stability or development. You may get a bad guy through a coup but who can stop them the day they do same with a good guy and no-one do anything to stop them??? Be careful what you wish for

I won't take up arms against this president yet however If you can convince enough of these Cyber liberals to actually vote then you could take over congress and impeach him 7 ways to sunday. whether or not this will mean he would step down is not constitutionally clear. Of course then you have to impeach cheney so by the time you got done impeaching everybody his term would be over but would set a worthy precedent. Good luck in political wars!

That presupposes that someone actually cares. From what I have seen, very few people actually give a damn. They can go on with their lives and leave the mess to the politicians..
