It has to ingest water and nutrients, expel waste materials, remain within certain temperature limits, and avoid dangers like being squashed or eaten by something else. Basically the same as any other living things.

Well the the cell will eventually die. But it reproduces a finite amount of times first by dividing into two daughter cells.

Cells are like little humans they reproduce, respire, communicate(chemically), respond to stimulus, grow and age, bring in energy and excrete waste.
