My landord turned off my electric, water and changed locks without any notice, now I am missing some items with lost of food and gas I had to pay for another place along with storage, I know this is against the law and whould like to sue but what court?

As a general rule, a landlord may not withhold electricity, water, or heat, nor may they lock you out of the residence, without first obtaining a court order allowing them to do so. The suit would be filed in the district (or associate district) court for your county, (or its equivalent).

How much you are entitled to in damages will depend on how your state law regarding residential landlords and tenants is written. You should consult an attorney who can advise you further. If you don't know an attorney and need on, contact your local or state bar association for a referral.

You need to look up the local housing authorities and talk to them first. They will get you going the right way. I believe the court involved would be small claims.

You need to go to your local housing authority! call the police and get an attorney.
