Ive had some stomach problems which doctors say could be IBS. Theyve said a scan would be unessesary but i feel pretty desperate and want to rule out anything serious?

My cousin paid over £600 but when he went to see an osteopath he told him that he could have referred him & it would have been much cheaper. worth a try!

You'll do much better to take your doctor's advice and let the experts decide whether you need a scan or not.

If you insist on having a scan then the price varies quite a lot. Shop around. Your GP may be able to tell you where you can get one.

For a scan of the tummy my guess is £400 to £600 .

You should check around for different medical facilities that do MRI scans. I would chose the colonoscopy rather than an MRI.

MRIs are amazing...I wouldn't pass on the opportunity to have one if it can rule something serious out...or even if it picks it up....better early than too late to do anything about it.
