The ruling UPA has announced to call a special session of parliament to pass an amend ment to the recent ruling of the supreme court in the matter of Delhi unauthorised shops.
My question is why not abolish the supreme court itself by amend ment to the constitution so that all decisions on all cases can be taken by the parliament like the old citizens committee of Athens which passed death sentence onsocrates for speaking the truth?

There are so much debate even on a single issue in the parliament among the ruling and the opposition,so they will take so much time to settle even a single case, resulting in so many pending cases that it would be most unpractical.
