Why are only 'liberals' gutsy enough to deal with religous hypocrisy?

It's my experience that,like with the Republican party,the more mystical and less rational one tries to be,the more hateful they tend to be.Dont believe me or are trying to deny it,see the link posted by a devout christian impersonating.

It takes no guts to bash Christians, try going after Islam with the same vitriol.

Interesting question, and interesting responses. But it is not truth that the more mystical one gets the more hateful one it. On the other hand we are all human and have the same human frailties. Some accept it and address it, some don't. As to the last post about being "a little Christ" one can conclude then that there are No Christians anywhere, just the use of religion to justify the cultural edicts. This is what religion is anyway an institution to give ultimate authority to the predominant edict of the given culture.

The freak you refer to has nothing to do with a typical conservative in this country. Based on the wording of your question I put you right there in the same category as this person you refer to.
Liberals try to jump on the "bash evangelical Christians" band wagon as a way to try and sway people from the Republican party but I can assure you, most Republicans I know are members of that party for reasons other than religious beliefs. The religious faction of the Republic party is just a small portion or the party and they have nothing to do with the fact that Democrats have made themselves irrelevant.

Seems to me that the Liberals only attack Christianity.

I don't hear a peep from the Liberals when the Muslims are cutting people's heads off. Their response is "It's only the fanatical muslims". But their is no tolerance for Christians, who are not perfect, but the ideals are about love, forgiveness and prayer.

We tend to be independent and stand up for what we beleive is right even when it may not be popular. We think in the abstract and view ideas/problems from many different angles versus referring to an ancient text as law and all knowing.

I would not call him a Christian. Christian means little christs, or one who is Christ like. He would be what I call a member of Christendom, which has virtually ruined the name of Christ. True followers do not act out as such.
