Nope got a tan just yesterday and it took just as long. You will be long gone from this earth by the time the sun burns out.

It will eventually expand into something called a red giant from it exhausting all of its fuel supply. It will get big enough to engulf at least the first 3 planets (that includes Earth). After about 10 million years from it becoming a red giant it will collapse into a small very dense mass called a white dwarf and become very cold. Most stars like our sun have a 10 billion year life span. Luckily for us it is only about 5 billion years old. So unless to you plan on living for the next 4 and a half billion years I wouldn't worry about it.

The Sun appears to have been active for 4.6 billion years and has enough fuel to go on for another five billion years or so. At the end of its life, the Sun will start to fuse helium into heavier elements and begin to swell up, ultimately growing so large that it will swallow the Earth. After a billion years as a red giant, it will suddenly collapse into a white dwarf -- the final end product of a star like ours. It may take a trillion years to cool off completely.
I suspect humans had best start working on space travel so that the future generations can survive, but you have no worries unless you discover immortality.

It is true that the sun is running out of energy but......not for a long long time. Everything is relative and from our planet's standpoint this living sphere of life will be long dead by the time the sun goes nova. And that is how new planets are created: from the gasses and dust of cosmic debris.

The Sun is running out of its fuel, hydrogen and helium, but nowhere near quickly enough to worry about it in this lifetime. In fact, it will likely keep burning for many millions, if not billions of years yet.

No. It will keep on going for quite a while yet. Rather than worry about the sun, be more concerned about our planet, which seems to be definitely going down the tubes with global warming etc.

As true as the statement that; "you started dying the day you were born". The sun is exerting its energy and has no means to replenish its energy so, yes, the sun is dying but in relevant terms our sun is very young.

The sun is a star and it will eventually die... in another few billion years. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

The sun is fuelled by hydrogen, and this year, the expert analysis is that there is sufficient for another 5.3 billion years...don't lose any sleep over it
