I would like to buy online, and can't pay the $100-$250 price for one doll - looking to pay retail $39.95

Just finished pre-ordering one on the Fisher Price website, for $40 plus s/h. Will be available Dec. 8. Hope this helps.

I saw them on the Fisher Price Web site a couple of days ago for $40. You could pre-order them. (Story may be different now, though, that it's been unveiled.)

Best bet, wait it out. Fisher-Price is shipping them to stores through Christmas, and depending on where you are, some stores are getting shipments within the week.

Sear's Essensials has them on sale starting today for 34.95. But since you weren't there when the store opened my guess is they are all gone. Check your mail and newspapers daily that way when a store has them on sale you can get there when they open. That is the only way I know of to get one.
