Don't use a fabric conditioner, when towels are dry pop into a tumble dryer for about 3 minutes then you will have fluffy towels again just like the adverts

You should NEVER EVER use fabric conditioner on towels. It makes them less absorbent. If you have a tumble drier then just use that. It will revive old tired towels really well too. If you haven't got a tumble drier, perhaps you could take them to a launderette and use the ones there, or maybe a friend or relative would have one.

never use fabrics softener on towels, it coats the fiber and forestalls absorption of water, and what else is a towel for? Wash your towels in warm water with detergent. If there are any germs you attempt to kill, upload some Lysol--brown bottle. Wash the towels as quickly as, rinse them two times. then dry on severe warmth. tough towels are oftentimes brought about via not getting the cleansing soap out. additionally I even have offered some dryer balls, and that i've got stumbled on my laundry dries swifter and softer whilst i take advantage of them.

You don't .

They are soft, because the fluff that is coming out of the threading. The fluff is soft and as a result breaks apart while use and during washing. After en years or so, they are paper thin and will scour your skin. Fabric softener will help for a whil, but in the long term, it actually reduces the life of your clothes and towels.

Point being, wash them as gently as possible with as little softener and possible and they will lst longer. Yours are probably already done being soft though

Well I use the Persil non- bio washing powder and Jobo oil comfort conditioner, and I tumble dry them all the time, I find that if you dry them outside it makes them go all hard for some reason.
I suppose because of the sun! And with the tumble dryer it is quicker, they are always soft and fluffy!

I would say wash them again and take my advise. Good Luck!

Once they've lost their fluffiness it's probably time to buy new. I only use dryer sheets for towels as liquid fabric softener tend to "coat" the fibers and they don't seem to dry you off so well. If you've been using liquid fabric softener, try washing them again and using dryer sheets. Maybe it will help.

First launder them with vinegar in the water. It will remove soap residue that has been building up. Then launder in a liquid fabric softener

Never hang them to dry, they will get rough and scratchy. Dry in the dryer with a few fabric softener sheets.

Have you tried tumble drying them? It works on mine, even the scabby dog towels that have been covered in mud time and time again! They don't come out like new, but they are always much fluffier than if I line dry them.

At some point they all lose their fluff & are good only to dust with. You might try liquid fabric softener and then a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. If nothing else, they'll smell very nice.

Fabric softner and if you can hang them outside to dry ....but to be honest sometimes when they've lost that fluffiness it doesn't come back !!! Expensive towels last longer.
