Go to the library in the town he died. They will have in archives all the papers it was written in. Go to the local police dept and ask them to dig back and give you a copy of the report. If it's a small town then you can ask old timers.

Some newspapers have on-line archives going back that far. If you can't google it up yourself, send me his name, town and state, or as much as you know; I've been able to persuade the search engines to release their troves for a couple of other people.

If you know the specific newspaper that it was in, you can call them and ask if you can get a copy from their archives. You will probably have to pay a small fee of course.

go to the local town library. if there was an obituary in the paper then it will be on file in the library. just ask someone where you can find the old newspapers.

google his name; also, go to the website of the newspaper in the town/city where the accident happened and enter his name in the search there; good luck

all you have to do is to search the website of the local deceases and type your fathers name! you will have news about it! and if it doesnt work go at the local archives! good luck and im sorry for your father!
