No, they can not legally force her. They can also not legally make her give the baby up for adoption. She would have to sign the adoption papers and/or the abortion consent form, not her parents. The only exception to this rule is if the pregnant teen’s life is in danger due to a medical emergency. In such a case, the teen’s parents have the right to permit an abortion against the teenager’s wishes. Call the Abortion Hotline at 1-800-772-9100 for info.

I don't think so but I'm not sure. I had a daughter who also got pregnant at 15. She asked me and my husband what she should do and we said it was her decision. She asked us what we would do and we told her we would not answer that because we didn't want her to base her decision on our answer.
She decided to have the baby and yes we did help her and the father out a lot. She finished school with the rest of her class and has a great job as an office manager. Her son is now 8 and she has since married and has child number 3 on the way. Her husband is a firefighter and also has another job.
If your girl friend's parents try to force her to abort the baby she can tell the doctor that she doesn't want it and he should not do it then.
She could also go to court and try to become emancipated. Then her parents can't force her to do anything.

Yep. If she were 16 things would be different. But at 15 her parents can make her. I got pregnant at 17 and my Daddy tried to make me have an abortion. I ran away unti I was too far along to have one. Then I came home caught up on school and graduated. Then I got married and I raise my baby with nobody elses support. But it was hard. My son's father turned out to be abusive and I had to go through a divorce alone with no support. I'm almost 21 and living a happy life now.

Oh honey that's a tough one. You're both so young but I would think you have rights, and she only has a limited window of time to have one. Call your local courthouse and find out where you can find information. I should give you a lecture about having unprotected sex so early, but I'm sure you've heard it all by now. Check your courthouse and see what the laws are up there, there might be something you can do. Good luck to you both however it goes.

No they cannot force her...no matter what her age, as soon as she is confirmed pregnant she is legally allowed to make medical decisions for herself...including what to do about the baby. They can talk her into it, threaten her, but legally they could go to jail if they force her to do it, all she has to do is tell the doctor she doesn't want to do that. If she signs the papers to allow it even if she feels pressured there's nothing anyone can do, as long as she doesn't sign the concent forms they cannot do it. And if they still force her, call the police....it's illegal for them to make that decision for her.

It's up to her if she feels ready to have a baby and that she can take care if it then she should keep it. I have a son and I'm doing good. Besides if she opened her legs and thought she was grown enough to have kids then she can be girl enough to bring that child into the world ( even if she puts him up for adaptation. Hes innocent dont take his life for no reason.

Find an attourney (pro -life) now! Pro-choice advacates should be on her side as well. It is her choice to KEEP her child. Just be prepared to raise this child. If not give the baby new parents, adoption works!

I don't think they can force her to get an abortion but since she is a minor they can force her to give it up for adoption since they will be the ones who are responsible for it. Thnink about it you don't want to have a kid this young, there is no way you will afford it.

Maybe they should. You were not responsible enough to use contraception, therefore how can you be trusted to look after a child?
