if someone dear is far away, alone and very sick?

how can i help him or at least make him feel better?

Call him up and talk to him. Comfort him and tell him to take care..

Words of love and comfort always helps..

If you can go visit him, all the better.

Call with a cheery joke and nice news. Send a card and/or flowers. Make a DVD of yourself doing something fun that the other person would enjoy seeing and send it. Make a "care package" of the person's favorite goodies like cookies, good books, snacks, etc. and send them. If you can, make the trip to visit. Nothing replaces the personal touch of a live person being there.
