No, Swallowing gum will cause it to be digested or passed along with everything else you eat.
Chewing gum is actually benefitial to your teeth, and stomach. Chewing gum reduces plaque and will help your stomach create more lining thus allowing any ulcers to heal.
Anyone that tells you different is ignorant and believing old wives tales. I heard the same stupid stuff when I was young and Doctors have long since disproven the lies.

Yes it quite dangerouse you know...
Especially if you swallow it as it takes 7 years to get digested.
Also wehen your playing sports its very dangerouse incase you swallow it by accident you could end up choking.
Also just chewing um alone is bad due to the fact that when you chew food acid is produced to break down the food in this case you chewing you gum and nothing is being swallowed and the acid just keeps on building up which is paiful.
(DO NOT HAVE GUM WHEN HUNGRY)

Swallowing it isn't to bad. But chewing to much is.
When you chew something, you're stomach produces acid in preparation for the food it will receive. The more you chew, the more peptic acid is produced, and later you'll get a peptic ulcer.
All all these stories of it sticking to or tangling you're gut, is just made up.

Yes,
my mother told me that you will die within 30 minutes of swallowing more than 1mg of chewing gum, unless you inform her immediately, drink 12 gallons of vile medicine and go to bed at 19.00 hrs for a week.
It worked, I am still here.
