How about a cruise somewhere? I just took one and I only spent $650.00 and was gone 9 days. I loved it and everything is included in the price. I even went on a few excursions and did some great things. I went to 2 countries I had never been to before.

30min. train to Bruges (Romantic city), Brussels and Antwerp
max. 3 hours train/car to Paris, Amsterdam, London, Luxembourg, Strassbourg, Cologne.
I guide you if you want, you can use my apartment (living room, sleeping room, kitchen, bathroom) for a part of your budget, I can drive you by car to some places, show you some nice places, go for a beer...

More information, do you like beaches, mountains, skiing etc..... I can tell you the suggestion of going to Bangkok at the moment is a terrible idea. Military coup that is happening now is not a place I would like to visit. :^(
