I like to play games too. You need to draw a line somewhere and make sure that the things that are important in you life are being taken care of. You may want to limit your game playing to 3 hours or so a day. I play for 3 hours after everyone goes to bed. (I'm the dad). That way I can still game and do all of the things that dads are expected to do. As long as gaming does not become a priority and keep you from doing all of the things that you need to do, like go to the gym and get some exercise then you will be OK. If you don't then you will be like me. I am only 37 and I have high blood pressure and have had three stroke because I could use more exercise and less stress from games and I' mot even fat or anything like that. Keep it balanced.

It probably is too much if you are saying it's too much yourself. Try to moderate. Maybe have an alarm clock ring after a certain amount of time. When it rings, no matter how good the game is, you save and stop... Slowly reduce the amount of time you play. When you stop, go out and do something physical. Sports, exercise and so on. go read a book about the same theme as the games you like, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Too much playing is something I have done (go a whole weekend, hardly sleeping or eating, literally playing the entire day). It is harmful in a sneaky way. You don't notice it, but soon you're numb to the world and that is horrible, because then everything starts falling apart little by little. It can be a hardcore vice for some, so take car of yourself.

good luck :)

HELL NO IT'S NOT BAD!!!!! What else would you be doing, applying yourself in school. Who wants to do that, when you could be saving Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom? Why would you do that, when you could be trying to stop Sepheroth from summoning Meteor? Why, I ask, would you want to do that when you could be helping Samus stop Meta Ridley and the Space Pirates? Video games are amazing and you can never play too much!

You already know the answer to this one. You, yourself think it is bad (for whatever reasons) or you would say that someone else thinks it is bad because it is too much.

Of course, you want a lot of "No" answers so you can justify continuing to play games too much. You are going to get a lot of "No" answers. I hope you disregard them.

It's only too much when you let it keep you from doing homework, or especially when you skip meals in order to keep playing.
