I am a 24 year old, so no, I am just not starting my period. I just have been craving a lot of chocolate and sweets on my period lately, and never did before. It's almost the only thing I want to eat! I dont that many sweets at other times, so it really gives me a headache when I eat them because my body is not used to it.

It´s perfectly normal, since your blood sugar drops when you are on your period. You are also in your prime child-bearing years so that could explain why you crave sweets that you did not crave when you were a teenager. I´m in my late-20s and my tastes have definitely changed over the years. I like things now that I never used to.

I think it is normal, I never had cravings and don't care for sweets,. However, in the last 5 years (after last child) I have developed a huge craving for chocolate and sweets once a month. Hence the tub of chocolate ice cream in the freezer and the bag of Jolly Ranchers hidden in my closet. Have to hide it and keep moving it around (like WMD, LOL) those kids have excellent candy radar.

Yes it is normal, however sometimes when we have too much fat in our diet we crave this stuff even more than usual. I know from experience that if you go low fat and change your eating style to low fat, low sugar and eat better in general you can really curb the sugar & chocolate cravings. If you are really craving sugar it may be a good indication that you have too much candida in your system,(yeast). Go see a good natural path and get simple help if you so care to. Good luck! Moderation is the key!

Not sure how normal it is but I know thats how I get every month at that time ! It sucks. I think periods are evil things!! Even if you havent had this in the past as you get older your body is always changing and the period is always doing new and wierd things to you. Sad but true, I have nothing good to say about a period !!! I hate them !!!

Yes, and it's normal to crave chocolate and sweets when you're NOT on your period, too!

But seriously, you might want to check with your doctor, get an insulin test. You might have a blood sugar problem that needs treatment.

At your height, it sounds such as you are able to already be on the skinny part. you're under no circumstances obese, no longer to point out wanting to lose 4 pounds. a common healthful foodstuff recurring is closer to the two days which you assert you ate too lots. eating a million,000-a million,2 hundred kcal an afternoon isn't many times achieveable interior the long term, so it is why you're hungry!

Oh yes. Just don't get carried away. If you eat a little each day or each week it should avoid the headache thing.
