If it were something that was necessary, then the hospital would do it and you would have to set up a payment plan. If it is something elective like plastic surgery or gastric bypass (that isn't medically necessary) then chances are you won't get the loan. Not for elective surgery. You'll just have to save your money.

There are banks that offer loans for medical purposes. But if your surgery has anything to do with a condition caused by someone also, you can file for a lawsuit and ask for a lawsuit loan. If the surgery is not urgent, you can pay it with the money you cash after the lawsuit. It's not that hard. Take a look at http://www.lawsuit-loan.org/class_action_lawsuit_loan.htm and see what it's about. People have won lawsuits against tobacco companies or asbestos providers.

Oh. I do not know where you live? It depends on the banking available there. You may please visit and bank's web site and find out how can you get loan. You may even ask Hospital people or the Doctor to advise you about the most suitable institute where the loan may be available. If you have friends, you may ask them. If you are working just withdraw from the provident fund. I just pray the God that you get well soon.

There is a program called "Doctors Say Yes" with good credit, I'm talking about tier 1 credit, you CAN have any surgery financed for as little as $99 down and $99 a month.

If you are low income you might qualify for one of the hospital special programs. Most hospitals have social workers who can help you or you might want to consider going to a teaching hospital which offers low or free medical help based on your income.
