What? He's just as capable as any man to grab a magazine and... entertain himself. If he's your X, let him be just that and move on. Sounds like maybe you have closure issues or something and using the sex as a reason to remain with him or a coverup for something else. If you can remain friends, that's fine and probably good, but sex shouldn't be involved, especially under the terms you've specified. Being a man, I'm sure he'd love sympathy sex, over and over and over, but where the hell does that leave you? Pretty soon you'll be feeling sorry for yourself, so don't even go there.

That's the beauty of divorce... you go your way, he goes his. You can make excuses all you want... "felt sorry for him"... but you need to move on with your life.

i was considering it cause it felt like a safe way to have sex, but when i realized he was still in love with me & i saw the pain in his face everytime i saw him, i did not think it would be fair to him when i knew having sex with him would only be physical on my part, but obviously was much more to him than that - so if you can both agree it's physical and temporary, then i guess it's OK, but otherwise someone will probably get hurt or misled.

i did with mine a few times, it was a stressful time, we were comfortable with each other, we were horny, we trusted the other not to have any diseases. after a few months though i stopped it from happening it was just part of the process.
