i am 16 and am in love wid a guy whose 22 n am truly in love with him.our families are really close to each other and i dont want to embarrass my family by doing such a thing. plz tell me wat to do? how do i stop loving him? i hv tried a number of times to ignore him and go around with other guys but i couldnt stop feelin for him. plz tell me wat to do? is it my fault?

One of the main attributes of love is that it puts you out of control, so do not try to control it, you will not success.
On the other hand you will not embarased no one by loving a guy, so give yourself a chance to do it.

One thing you don't realize is that an adult (He is 22) having sex with a minor (You are 16) is a felony crime of statutory rape. Would you like him to be arrested and put in jail?
Take a cold shower or whatever it takes and wait for your age to become legal (18). There is a saying which is, "If love dies, it wasn't love in the first place". If you both truly are in love, then you both can wait. Read from the Bible I Corinthians 13, the "Love Chapter" about what true love is. One of the things it says is that love doesn't selfishly seek its own way, but serves the other person. It also say that of faith, hope and love, that love is the greatest of all. If you truly are in love and not just in sex, you can wait.

my dear, love is never meant be controlled as this will choke a relationship instead. give each other more breather. u are still very young and let your focus be in study 1st, keep him as a friend and when u are much older, at the age of say 20, then slowly u get to know others okay.

1st of all....I think you are to young to be dating someone that age in the first place, but since u have feelings...they will pass. U are so young with so much life ahead of u!!! Take your time!! U think u love him now and then 6 months from now..u will think u are in love with someone else. Talk with someone who is an adult that u are close with to discuss these feelings. They will understand and help u cope with this.

I think you are just infactuated with this guy because he is older than you are. It is natural. Try hanging around guys your own age, and you'll soon start liking them.

it's just infactuation your feeling, you think its love, but it's truly not. start dating guys 17,18. and you will forget about the one thats 22.plus you can introduce him to any women you know that are his age.
