I have 2 starter, how far should I space them? It's not a tree type, these are bushes. So I'm assuming they won't be too tall, at leaset so I was told. Thanks in advance.

Hi!
If those are the ones that have the wonderful spotted leaves, they can get quite tall (8feet)
A neighbour of mine has one and if you let it grow by itself, it gets tall and weird looking. You can prune it and keep it to a nice height that will suit you. It requires pruning often as it grows quite fast.

You can even try to root the cuttings in water, I had success with one out of two. Change the water every day.

This is a funny one for us in the industry. Look in several catalogs, and you'll find that it grows from 2-8 feet tall...... (well don't we all!) At my nursery, you can count on the mice eating the over-wintering plants down to pot level. It's caviar to rodents. Those rodent-pruned plants are the most robust looking things in the spring. They put on at least 3' of new growth each year, so the more pruning the better. Don't prune after mid summer ... late July here in Zone 4.
