Does this prove evolution?

Question

If we lined up all the cars produced over the last 100 years, we would see they became more complex, powerful and efficient.

Does that mean they evolved? Or that designs improved?

Cars aren't alive thus they can't evolve. Plus human made created cars, every single car that has ever existed so it is humans that changed them through the years.

The word 'evolution' means "to change". There is proof that animals, birds, fish, plants change. We see planets and birds and frogs that have changed within the past 200 years. They evolved because their environment has changed temperature, water increase or decrease, air pollution, etc. They had to evolve in order to survive. If they don't evolve they die out and become extinct. There is proof that animals have evolved. Sharks were huge millions of years ago and there weren't many species of them. Now they are smaller and there are over 150 species. Same with jellyfish, fresh water fish, rodents, dragonflies, and more. So evolution does exist.

However, humans did not evolve from apes. The proof of this is rather simple. When a species evolves (changes) it goes thru several changes through many years. Not over night. When the "new" species comes into existence, the old, original species no longer exists. Smaller sharks exist today but the mammoth sharks not longer exist. You see this also in horses, elephants, crocodiles, turtles and more. Now lets look at humans. Simply because the fact that human beings exist today would mean that our original speices no longer exists, they would have all changed and become extinct. BUT apes still exist today. Today's apes are a little different from the fossils that we've found from a million years ago. This proves that apes have evolved. They changed to survive with the environments' changes. There is proof that human beings existed over 100,000 years ago and we can see from the skeletons that humans have evolved/changed over the years to become like we are today. Humans changed to survive with the environments' changes. But since apes and humans have lived together at the same time for many years it proves that apes never evolved into humans.

I am Catholic and have done much research and studying on the evolution process. I believe that God created it all. He created our known universe billions of years ago, He created animals first and a long time later He created humans. He created the process of evolution. He created earth, it's plants and animals and humans (who are animals) in a way that it can naturally change over time. He created environmental elements and with His great designs these elements form and change and some things cease to exist and new somethings begin to exist.

The thing is, every one of those cars was designed by intelligent beings. While I agree that evolution does work, I don't think cars are a very good analogy at all.

Your example has nothing to do with evolution. Technology is an indication of certain things within evolution. For example, when scientists find tools with fossils, they provide an indication to how intelligent the species was. the tools themselves aren't evolution, and don't evolve. Technically, evolution has to do with genetics.

They have not become more powerful; therefore they have not evolved. Some of the designs have gotten better.
