I have twenty of them and have cut them off. Can I drill holes in the stumps and add Round up or something? They come from seeds from a neighbor's tree and they are invasive. I need a solution.

Cut them off and use Tordon. You may need to go to a farm store to get it. We use it along fence lines and I guarantee you will not have a problem. It is around $14 for a quart and you apply it directly out of the container. You apply it to the cut area and it attacks the roots. Make sure you do just apply it to the cut off plant, it will kill what ever it comes in contact with. the way the spout is made up it is easy to apply and you can not really make a mistake.

Use Roundup or quivalent. Apply it with a q-tip to the catalpa leaves to avoid killing anything else. It may take a couple of applications, but it will do the job, roots and all.
