it is wrong
the standard form of Q.E. is defined as ax^2+bx+c=0 where a is not equal tozero
if a=0 it will not be a second degree equation andso not a Q.E.
you are very correct

Any equation in the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0 is a quadratic equation, regardless of what the variable value is.
In completing the square to find the roots, the divisor is 2a. If a were 0, this would mean the equation is divided by 0 and therefore produces and infinite (undefined) result.

Actually a quadratic equation has a general form ax^2 + bx + c=0
Where c/a gives the product of roots, and -b/a gives the sum of roots.
If we take a tending to 0, then c/a tends towards infinity, b/a tends towards - infinity.
However, if a=0, the equation is linear.
The text books talk about the limiting case when a is very close to zero.
The roots approach -infinity

"0" times anything always equals "what?"--"0", if a = 0 then it it said that ax ^squared will equal "0", and "0" equals nothing, then when you add nothing to something like bx -c = what ever, you still have just something and nothing more. answer this question. If a frog jumps half the distance of the log it is sitting on and continues to jump half the remaining distance of the log. How long will it take the frog to get to the end of the log so it can finally jump back into the water to cool down.

tell u what call up the writer of the book ... and say him to **** off and die. you are correct, a quad eqn is of the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0. if a=0, the eqn reduces to a linear eqn which has only 1 root and certainly not infinite. a polynomial will only have infinite roots if it reduces to an identity .... my advice --- dont read such ******* books

there is precisely one 0 or root. The discriminate = 0 subsequently. The quadratic function will be of the fashion a( x ± ____ )², the region the clean may opt to be the point of tangency, and the signal may opt to be determined by making use of which ingredient of 0 the point is on. The "a" tells even if the parabola opens up or down and how skinny or fat the parabola is. detrimental opens down and useful opens up. the bigger " a " the thinner the parabola and the smaller "a" is the wider the parabola. i am hoping it truly is smart to you. sturdy fulfillment and ought to God Bless You !!!!!
