TRY THESE!!!! U CAN FIND THEM AT TARGET OR OTHER DEPT. STORES

1. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($4.79). For countless years, this pink-and-green tube has been a best seller. And no wonder: The mascara it holds lengthens, thickens, and separates beautifully.

2. Revlon Nail Polish ($4.29). While beauty addicts swear that Chanel and Essie make the longest-wearing polishes, real insiders know that Revlon's offerings last for days without chipping. The bonus: The line's perfect mix of of-the-moment and classic shades.

3. Wet 'n' Wild Creme Lipliner Pencil ($0.99). This 99-cent wonder comes in a range of shades that look natural and really last. Brandywine #666 is a favorite of makeup artists.

4. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm ($2.50). Forget pricey cosmetics-line lip balms: This pot of balm, which contains beeswax, vitamin E, and sweet almond oil, softens lips and is the perfect primer for lipstick.

5. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($9.99). This new foundation rivals high-end department store brands by offering 24 shades -- from the lightest porcelain to the deepest cocoa -- in an oil-free, easy-to-blend formula.

Jane, Almay, and More
6. Jane Blushing Cheeks Blush ($2.29). Not only does this blush come in a big pot that looks a lot like blushes sold in some high-end makeup artist lines, but it's also available in great, natural-looking shades. Two universal ones: Blushing Baby Doll and Blushing Blossom.

7. Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss ($4.00). This London-based brand's gloss is high on shine, high on pigment, and -- best of all -- low on stickiness.

8. Almay Beyond Powder Eyeshadow Quads ($5.99). Everything you need to make up your eyes, from base shade to contour shade to liner to highlighter, all in one compact. What's more, the colors are neutral enough to work on nearly all skin tones.

9. Sonia Kashuk Barely There Loose Powder ($8.99). With its fine texture and yellow base, this loose powder sets makeup, keeps shine at bay, and evens out skin tone just as well (if not better!) than department store brands.

10. Physician's Formula Concealer 101 ($6.95). A compact that contains two concealers -- one to hide minor flaws, and one to camouflage undereye circles. For a custom match to your skin tone, you can blend the two shades together.

L'Oreal is your best bet for Drugstore type makeup. It is manufactured by the Lancome company. It has the same ingredients, but is marketed to a different demographic. Dollar for dollar, L'Oreal products are the best buy.
