I believe that you have to know the source. If you read something in the Enquirer, then you have to take it with a grain of salt. If it was the NY Times, you assume it's true. One is more qualified to answer the question than the other.
Of course, everyone makes a mistake so you have to make your own judgment on what kind of information is given. There's a lot of new cites for stuff. You really need to know whether it's a good one or not.

Well that kind of depends are what I'm reading if it's an autobiography then yes I usually do believe it because the person wrote it them-self. If it's someone else writing it, I tend to question it sometimes.
